Erect herb. Similar to A. crinitus but leaves orbicular, 5-7-lobed, lobes ovate to oblong, obtuse or acute, base cordate, margin crenate to coarsealy serrate; flowers solitary, axillary; epicalyx segments 7-12, 1-1.5(-2) cm; fruit cylindric, 8-10(-25) x1.5-3 cm, glabrescent or shortly hirsute.
