Local name: No local name known Edibility: Unknown Habitat: Terrestrial and solitary or sometimes gregariously. Description: Fruiting bodies: Cup-shaped from young to maturity 2-5 cm across. Inner surface: Smooth, creamy to yellowish or occasionally olive coloured. Outer surface: Hairy or granular, creamy to yellowish or yellow, the margin often densely hairy. Stem: Usually without a stem or pseudo stem, but occasionally with a pinched-together base. Flesh: Pale yellow. Comments: This cup fungus is easily told by its small and deeply cup-shaped fruiting bodies that often have finely scalloped margin. It is distinguished from T. cupularis by the wider spores and lobed paraphyses, but some authors say it is synonym to T. capularis. |
